I Have A Dream

Today marks a very special day for many in America.  Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr was an American Pastor, activist, humanitarian, and leader in the African- American Civil Rights Movement.  I believe we all should have a dream to improve ourselves and help others.  Sacrifice comes when we truly believe in equality and respect.  Never give up on dreams and beliefs.  Thank You Dr. King!

New Year Great Attitude!

We are over half way into the new year, I find that so amazing.  I am very excited about 2014 because I made a promise to myself to be grateful and learn something new each day.  As a small business owner, it's hard to try and do it all yourself, so I plan to review my business plan to see how I can effectively use my time wisely. I am reading a book Time Management For Event Planners by Judy Allen.  I hope to utilize my time wisely and take control over my schedule which in turn will prioritize my workload.

Special Event Conference Wrap Up

This has been an awesome week in Nashville meeting peers in my industry.  The speakers were relevant to the industry as was the Trade show.  A lot to offer this year and the new colors and text fabrics are beautiful.  If you do not already know, the Pantone color is for 2014 is Radiant Orchid and Navy Blue.  I also joined the National Organization and will work on getting my CEP certification.

 

Third Day of Conference

I am really excited to continue my conference seminars. This morning, I am taking Bam and Bling class for 2014 events, taught by Tiffany Clark. 

At The Special Event Conference

TExcited to be in Nashville for the annual Special Event Conference and Trade-show.  Just  attended a session on new  and latest trends for 2014 for parties, wedding, colors and more. Speaker Hillary Harris of Warner Brothers from Hollywood was the presenter.

Happy New Year

Well it's 2014 and another year of goals and promises.  My goal is

to learn something new to help my business grow.  So I am off to Nashville for a week-long Special Event Trade Show and Educational Seminar  to learn about the latest and greatest in the Event Planning business.  Watch my Facebook and Twitter feeds to see how I am doing!
