Well It has been a truly amazing expierence from the airlines, hotels, retail shopping and more.
What I found in each country we visited ( Hong Kong, Indonesia, Bali, Singapore and Dubai, was the friendliness of the people, as well as the customer service provided. We were greeted with kindness and smiles everywhere we went. We also leaned tips were not expected and when given, very appreciated.
Some folks were just happy to see Americans. At my brothers reception we felt like celeberties we shook hands with the 1500 guests invited and took pictures with many of them who have never met Americans.
It just reminded me of how we should treat foreigners when they arrive in the U.S. We should all review our customer service procedures, make our visitors feel welcome and make sure employees are well trained, after all, it cost nothing to smile!
