TLC to Host European American Network Holiday Party

It's that time when all the parties start happening. TLC is very excited to host the European American Network annual holiday party at Bonita Bay Club on December 16th from 6 pm to 9 pm.

This is a great opportunity to meet new people in a social setting. Europian flair food, cash bar, music and networking awaits. 

We are also collecting wrapped gifts for a girl or boy of any age to be donated to the Children's Home Society.

Happy Holidays from Estero

Recently, I  had the pleasure of taking part in the newest city in Florida ( The Villages of Estero) Christmas Tree lighting.

  It was awesome seeing everyone gathered around to hear the children sing and the see the lighting of the tree feeling the spirit of Christmas in the air.

I had the opportunity to meet U.S. Congressman Curt Clawson,what a nice guy.

Thanks so much to all who pulled this event together.  Adele Amico the founder and soul of this project who had a vision and ran with it.  

I can tell you this event will be with the residents forever.

Can't wait until 2015.

Time To Give Thanks!

As Thanksging fast approaches, it's  time to reflect and give thanks for all that we have.  Our family, friends and a stronger economy . 

 I am very grateful to my clients who have allowed me the opportunity to serve them. 

 To my partner and love Gary who has stood by me while my business was taking off,  my family and friends who have been there for me through good times and bad.

Helping Others than Ourselves

I was very fortunate to volunteer to help at a local Hoe Down for the Bonita Springs YMCA.  It was an awesome event and very gratifying to help someone else.  

Sometimes we have to take time to help others at whatever the cost. This Holiday season take the time to help someone in need.  It's a great feeling, but also the right thing to do.

BONITA WONDER GARDENS ANNOUNCES BOARD, OFFICERS

Bonita Wonder Gardens, the not-for-profit organization formed earlier this year to help save the Everglades Wonder Gardens (evergladeswondergardens.com)  in Bonita Springs from development, announced the addition of several board members and the appointment of board officers. 

Trish Leonard of TLC Marketing & Creative Services was appointed president; Scott Klabunde with Tesla Motors is secretary, and Ray Carroll of Carroll & Carroll is treasurer. 

Other board members include Frederick (Rick) Barber from Agnoli, Barber & Brundage; Dennis Berens; John Brady, Everglades Wonder Gardens manager; Dennis Gilkey of the Gilkey Organization, Stephanie Kissinger with Waste Management; Jacke McCurdy, retired vice president of Joseph E. Seagram and Sons; Marjorie Rubacky, retired senior vice president with Goodrich and Sherwood Co.; and Wes Weidenmiller of Presstige Printing.

Special Tea for Three

Recently I held a special tea for my friend Arleen who gave birth to twins, a boy Austin and girl, Lillian.  The tea was so much fun. Using real china, chair covers with lilac lace ties,  fresh flowers and awesome bites,
made for a beautiful rainy afternoon.

Recently, I have been working on an educational and public awareness campaign for a client who's job is to saves lives.  I am saddened at the lack of respect these folks get from some community citizens. 

Each day they put themselves in harms way to protect us.  They are someone's husband, father, mother, brother, sister, grandparent etc. they work long hours, holidays and weekends, all for what they love to do..save lives.  You never know when you may need their help.  So I ask, What's a Your Life Worth?

Clowning Around With CEO Jim Felds of Ringling Brothers Circus

What a great ending to a very successful Speakers Assembly program year.  The Hyatt was turned into a big circus, full of tall walkers, clowns and popcorn.  Most importantly, I leaned a lot about the Ringling Brothers company and how this family-owned business has operated and entertained families for over 60 years.  I enjoyed hearing Jim Felds, CEO of the company share his family philosophy and values.  I was truly amazed that his three daughters all college educated, came back to help run the company.  It inspired me to understand how they design their shows for families and where the company is headed.  Thank you for sharing your insights, I  will
now look at the circus differently.

Networking Day

New Year Great Attitude!

We are over half way into the new year, I find that so amazing.  I am very excited about 2014 because I made a promise to myself to be grateful and learn something new each day.  As a small business owner, it's hard to try and do it all yourself, so I plan to review my business plan to see how I can effectively use my time wisely. I am reading a book Time Management For Event Planners by Judy Allen.  I hope to utilize my time wisely and take control over my schedule which in turn will prioritize my workload.

Special Event Conference Wrap Up

This has been an awesome week in Nashville meeting peers in my industry.  The speakers were relevant to the industry as was the Trade show.  A lot to offer this year and the new colors and text fabrics are beautiful.  If you do not already know, the Pantone color is for 2014 is Radiant Orchid and Navy Blue.  I also joined the National Organization and will work on getting my CEP certification.
